After three years of international collaboration within Sinfonica, we are getting towards the end of the project. The project has increased Arriva’s understanding of European projects, widened the international network with regards to CCAM, and established a valuable local network of stakeholders and citizens that shared valuable insights with regards to inclusive CCAM.

As Arriva, we were leading the task dedicated to CCAM solutions and vulnerable users: opportunities and constraints. This report gives an insight into the journey flow of different types of CCAM with different types of vulnerable groups. It creates a valuable first overview of (technical)features that need to be implemented in CCAM to create a pleasant and inclusive journey. The findings you can find in our earlier blogpost: Preliminary recommendations for inclusive CCAM services – SINFONICA.

We are continuing to increase our understanding of inclusive CCAM by being part of the European project Cultural Road. This is another Horizon Europe project and aims to develop equitable deployment strategies for CCAM services by using a Five-Pointed Star Rating system that is designed to capture cultural and geographical diversity. In this project there is a focus on local communities as well to gather insights in their mobility needs and how cultural and geographical influences can create a difference in perception and using CCAM.

Finally, we are also starting with physical pilots again. Together with the province of Noord-Brabant, SmartwayZ.NL, amusement park the Efteling and Dutch Automated Mobility Shuttles, we will start a self-driving shuttle around the Efteling. The Efteling is the largest theme park in the Netherlands and is known for its fairytale forest and spectacular roller coasters. Due to its diversity, it is very popular with families. There are therefore several holiday parks around the amusement park. The shuttle will drive a round along the bus station, entrance to the theme park and the various holiday parks.

Lets continue to create a sustainable and inclusive CCAM operation to connect everyone!
